Sunday Greeting and AI Prompt Ethics

I can’t find you on X. So here’s this Sunday greeting, publicly. (What triggered this was my prompt for the Negroni cocktail.) Should I stop sharing anything? Should I just not share everything I’ve learned? Or better yet: I’ll simply scoop up all the good stuff here on X and then sell it as my own work. That’s a brilliant idea, isn’t it? Less effort, too. Yeah, I know “AI doesn’t have copyright,” or “you’re only typing a few words,” or “AI stole everything from artists”… blah, blah, blah. If that’s your opinion, keep it to yourself. That’s not what this is about. What is wrong with people who can’t even be bothered to prompt for themselves? Prompting is an art and once you’ve learned the fundamentals, you can start getting creative and develop your own style. You want to sell AI and get rich? Hey, I get it. And I truly wish you the very best on your journey, and I’ll be happy for you when you reach your goals. But trawling the internet for prompts and then selling them on a subscription? That’s just pathetic. Almost as pathetic as AI hate bots. You can’t even be bothered to give us credit. I don’t believe you’ve developed a single prompt on your site yourself. That’s not a decent way to behave. You even have Terms of Service. In there you write: 2. OWNERSHIP You may not claim intellectual or exclusive ownership rights to any of our products. All products are property of PromptGather... Close your eyes for a second - then you’ll see what actually belongs to you. If anything, the wording of the prompt belongs to me. And now what? Are you going to pay me for that?
